Metalwerx I have personally taken in-person classes at Metalwerx and can't recommend them enough. This well-respected Massachusetts-based school offers live virtual courses taught by some of the most respected names in the jewelry and metalsmithing world. Courses are scheduled throughout the year in small group format and cover a wide range of techniques including goldsmithing, stone setting, enameling, electroforming, fabrication, lost wax casting, polymer clay, tool making, pearl stringing, and more. A great option for makers who want live instruction and real-time access to expert educators.

Pizzuti — Lapidary, Intaglio Soubie Pizzuti is a sculptor specializing in intaglio gemstone carving — an ancient art form in which designs are carved directly into the surface of a gemstone. This is a beautifully niche area of the craft that very few teachers cover online. Her courses include beginner crystal carving, advanced intaglio techniques, portrait carving, and the specialized Essex Crystal technique of reverse painting on crystal. A wonderful resource for makers who want to explore lapidary arts beyond the bench.
