For this week’s #tooltalktuesday I’m excited to show off the Spider Hold Tool and the Mini Spider Hold Down Tool created by @silversmithingretreat These tools are designed to help you position, and secure different elements when soldering various projects. Assembling them is super easy, you take the rods and insert them into the holes. It doesn’t matter which hole you place them in. The rods have different bends including 90 degree, 45 degree and 22.5 degree. I found this tool super helpful for holding down a bail to a pendant. The original Spider Hold especially, because it applies some weight which helps ensure a good connection between the two pieces I’m soldering. Also great for sweat soldering, or securing a design element. I found both Spider Hold Down Tools easy to adjust and work with! Definitely useful!
