Today’s photography tip is brought to you by our sponsor @riogrande ☺️ A few weeks ago, I went in depth for #tooltalktuesday about my GemLightbox from Rio; one of the topics that was brought up was capturing images of jewelry and stones that have a high polish and how hard that can be (raise your hand if you’ve been there 🖐)! My tip to reduce glare in your pics is to create a diffuser with TOILET PAPER 🧻. This can be helpful with the GemLightbox or any other lightbox too! You can see in the cabochon images of @eckel.lapidary & @newstoneagecabochons that I’m able to remove the glare simply by taping a piece of toilet paper over the light source. This also helped when shooting a picture of my super shiny silhouetted man (name that movie 😂). I hope this tip is helpful and would love to hear from you!
