Here is another jump ring making hack, a huge thanks to @alastaircallumjewellery for these great pictures that show the process. Take a power drill and insert a drill bit backwards, create a bend in your wire and slip the bent bit between the jaws - “When the drill starts turning, the bent tail is rigid enough to pull the wire round. The thinner the wire you use, the more tail you might need. If it's very thin wire, maybe 0.5mm or less then I might trap the bent end between the mandrel and one of the jaws.” I’ve seen people use knitting needles inserted into the power drill as well! I’ve also used a power drill to twist wires together but I should save that for another post 😉😂 Also I just want to say I’m so appreciative of all of you following along and contributing to this group, crazy that in less than two months we have over 2k people joining in.
