If humidity is rusting your tools @janaprancejewelry has a solution for you - “a piece of equipment that has literally changed my life in the studio is getting my dehumidifier. My studio is separate from our house in a repurposed tool shed and I had the worst time with my tools rusting. I was oiling them (not exagerating) every single day and I would still have rust that I had to scrub off regularly. I thought this was normal until talking to fellow metalsmith ( @januaryjewelry ) She suggested getting a dehumidifier and I rarely oil my tools now and they don’t rust!!” Taking care of our tools is sooo important!
