For this week’s #tooltalktuesday I am showing off the tumbling media created by @rosyrevolver called Honed + Highlight. After finishing and cleaning my piece I applied Black Max and then tumbled for ten hours, as you can see the tumbling media created a matte finish on the surface but my details remained dark! Tumbling is a super effective way to create a uniform finish on a piece after patina has been applied. I personally love a matte finish on my work and the Honed + Highlight is going to give you a matte finish. Since this was the first time using the media my surface is a little more scratchy but as the media softens after use it becomes slightly less abrasive (Jessica sent me a photo of what some of the worn down media looks like which I’ve included!) I did get a piece of media wedged in this ring, but I easily took it out with tweezers. Thank you @rosyrevolver for sending me some media to try out!
