Here is a stamping tip from @earth_and_agate - “I’ve been searching for an anvil forever but they are just so expensive. I found a great and really cheap alternative. I found an old vintage steel iron for 20 bucks at a flea market. I found one that was perfectly smooth. I turned it upside down and put it in a vise on my bench. And It works like a charm and has a large space for hammering. It’s completely flat and I’ve been using that ever since. I will continue my search for my perfect Antique anvil but until then I’m pleased with this 20 dollar fix.
