It can be used to grind, sand, and polish on various types of materials including metal, wood, stone, glass, ceramics, and more. I love that it provides a nice flat surface to quickly grind and sand and that it has a bunch of different attachments. The basic kit comes with various sanding discs and films and an abrasive pad which gives a nice brushed finish. I found the Angle Grinder easy to use, Gesswein has a video from Foredom right on the product page which walks you through the simple instructions.
