Flux link in my profile! #tooltalktuesday this week I’m showing off pepetools_usa new Bench Basics Smart Flux and their Flux Spray Applicator. These are my go to when I’m annealing or soldering larger pieces! The flux itself comes in a large bottle which will last you a very long time, it’s a flux (to prevent oxidation) and firecoat in one (to prevent firescale/fire stain) and is fluoride free (like Prips). The spray applicator is great for when you you want to cover a larger surface area quickly. I spray and heat until my metal is coated (be sure to get the underside as well) and it works great! I have been using the spray bottle for over a month and it has not become clogged, when this does occur (because it’s normal for spray flux to build up a bit) I will just rinse in warm water.
