Here is a tip for holding a ball while sanding from @refinedrebellionjewelry - “I make my own Argentium balls and use this method to level off the bottom before I solder. I use red sticky positioning wax to hold each ball in place and a heatless Silicon Carbide wheel on my flex shaft to quickly flatten the bottom.
