Here is a stone setting tip, if your piece has a bail or backplate larger than the setting itself cover the entire piece with thermoloc when you go to set the bezel. It will protect the rest of the piece from any accidental scratches or dings. I’ll even keep my piece in the Thermo-loc when I go to *carefully* polish the bezel. Thermo-loc is a reusable moldable plastic created by @grstools that I love to use. I hear it with a craft heat gun over a piece of Teflon. My piece is set up in my ball vise with the thermoloc pressed into the top of the vise and slightly inbetween the jaws. Hope this is helpful! #thermoloc #grstools #stonesetting #bezelsetting
