Left-Handed Option: Holding a Jig in a Bench Vise

A simple alternative for lefties or anyone with grip trouble: place the jig in a bench vise instead of squeezing its handle.

I’m so grateful for comments like this because they help make these tips more useful for everyone.

A community member correctly pointed out that this jig is not exactly left-handed friendly, and as a lefty mom, my daughter immediately came to mind. So I was really excited to share this simple alternative.

Instead of gripping that red handle, you can place the jig directly into a bench vise. This can be helpful if you’re left-handed, if gripping the handle feels awkward, or if you just don’t want to have to squeeze quite so hard while using it.

I love when the comments turn into a better tip for the whole community. Thank you to everyone who shares their experience and helps us all keep learning.
