Graphite Pencil to Keep Tiny Hinges From Soldering
A hinge tip from @cognac_jewellery_school on holding parts with pencil lead and drawing graphite on moving parts so solder will not flow there.

“This is my favourite low-tech soldering hack for tiny hinges:
Prevent accidentally soldering them closed with a soft graphite pencil & rod (pencil refills work perfectly). Hold the hinge parts in place with the rod, and use the pencil to draw on any moving pieces you don’t want to solder. The graphite will prevent the solder from flowing where you don’t want it to go and save you from hours of frustration and tiny hinge disasters!”
Beautiful video and a great technique! I learned that one in college and should really practice some hinges!
