This is the Kaiser-Lee Board, a tip shared years ago by my friend @thewildpine
It’s soft and you can press components into it. In this pic I have a pendant upside down and a jump ring bail gently pressed into the board so I can solder it exactly where I want.
Sometimes a solder set up is best done with binding wire, sometimes tweezers, sometimes titanium or copper pieces to lift things, there is soldering clay too. So many different methods. That’s what I love about our community!
