Guess who FINALLY got around to experimenting with her laser engraver? 🙋‍♀️

I’ve been a massive Dolly Parton fan forever, so of course her name was going on this rectangular signet ring. 💛

The laser made it so easy. I set my ring up under the engraver on a tapered mandrel on a stand (the one I use for wax carving), laid out her name in the font Snell Roundhand, and laser engraved it with my LaserPecker LP4. Then I had a smudgeproof layout to cut using@my GraverMax G8 pneumatic. I used both a flat graver and a 120.

I’ll be honest, I still need a lot of practice when it comes to engraving lettering. Being able to quickly do the layout with the laser saves me a ton of time, so I can spend more time engraving. Shoutouts to @grstools where I took a lettering class this past summer with @master.engraver

Huge thank you to everyone in the jewelry world who’s been sharing their laser engraver videos. You’ve all been such an inspiration and you’re the reason I finally took the plunge! 🙌

Who should I engrave next? 👇
