I’m backkkkkkkkk with installment #3 of me showing off the Dipromini Mini-Filer and its various attachments from our friends at @gesswein.jewelry
As I mentioned the Dipromini attaches to your flex shaft, but they also make a version for micromotors. Don’t want my micromotor people to feel left out 😂
Today’s attachment: these tiny plastic spatulas, which by themselves would do absolutely nothing 😂 The magic happens when you add diamond compound to them, which I kept calling diamond paste in the video. Same thing! They fit in tight spots and the diamond compound is also used by our lapidary friends! I have used these diamond compounds to remove a scratch on a cabochon in the past!
Diamond compound comes in a wide range of grits, so you can choose how aggressive or fine you want to go. You can also super glue another abrasive onto the spatula if you want to experiment with different finishing materials.
What I like about these is that they’re more flexible than the diamond tips I showed previously, so they can behave a little differently against the surface of the metal.
I have officially spent an unreasonable amount of time testing tiny Dipromini attachments and apparently I’m not done yet 😂
If you’ve been following along with this series and have questions, drop them below!
