Here is an old Japanese technique of applying a matte finish shared by @johnnyoro -“You can get any sort of size media sand, the more uniform the better. Any place that carries sandblasting equipment will have a variety of sands, beads, media choose from. With a bucket all you do is scoop it up with a funnel, from a height above your head release the opening and allow the media to pour onto the piece of jewelry.
