This #tooltalktuesday is actually about two different tools that you can use to create your own burnishers, sharpen your gravers and shape tools! Thank you to @piecesofstarrjewelry who recommended them months ago when I was making my own tools for flush setting 🙏🏻 The first is a set of Diamond Sharpening Stones, shaped like little credit cards they come with a medium (400 grit) and a super fine (1200 grit) as you can see in the video I take the broken bur and within a few seconds I can shape it into a burnisher. After you grind down and shape you will want to apply a high polish and that is where the Edenta Ceragloss™ Mounted Diamond Polisher will come in (I use yellow which is the finest grit). These are my dedicated tools for when I need to shape or sand something made out of steel (so I avoid cross contamination!) I am pretty new to sharpening my gravers and while I’m still perfecting my technique, these are a perfect tool to work with! I also threw in an image of an old chasing tool that I decided to refresh so I could stamp lines (people asked about the textures in my latest collection over at @corkieboltonjewelry and I hammered my pieces with modified stamps!)
