Digital Gold and Platinum Tester for Mystery Metal

#affiliate For this week’s #tooltalktuesday I am really excited to show the GEMORO® AuRACLE™ Digital AGT3 Gold and Platinum Tester (item # 817-1046) from our sponsor @gesswein.jewelry if you are a jeweler who works with customer’s “mystery metal” this tester is amazing!  This digital tester is super simple to use and in seconds provides accurate results showing both the digital karat value and gold percentage (and also tests platinum). All you need to do is calibrate it with a piece of known 14k or 18k gold. Then you simply file a small area on whatever you plan to test, place it on the tester and use the touch pen probe to get your results. You could easily pack this up and take it to shows as well. Since it is compact and portable. The only gold testers I have used in the past involved acids so this tool really blew my mind. It is an investment but if you regularly work with customer metal it seems like an invaluable addition to a studio. Huge thank you to Gesswein for sending me this tool and sponsoring the page, they are providing a 5% discount on every purchase from our community with code: MSS5 and they will also give back to the page with each purchase. If you are in CANADA you can also receive the discount by using code: metalsmith and they both carry the tester! Thank you so much for tuning in! #jewelrytools #testinggold #howtotestgold #makingjewelry
