If you’re a jewelry maker looking for custom jewelry packaging, Etsy can be such a goldmine. Most people think Etsy is a place to purchase or sell handmade work, but over the years I’ve found some really great suppliers for my jewelry making business. It’s become one of those win-win situations for me because I joined the Etsy affiliate program, so when you shop through certain links I share, it helps support my work as an artist and educator at no extra cost to you.

This list are some of my favorite customizable options for jewelry packaging and displays. Some are upgrades that can make your brand feel more polished. And some are great for those just starting their jewelry making businesses, and working on a budget!

So if you’ve never gone down the Etsy-for-jewelers rabbit hole, you're welcome. Here are 10 Etsy finds every jewelry maker should know about.

1. Custom Branded Jewelry Polishing Cloths

One packaging upgrade I really like is adding a custom jewelry polishing cloth.

Many years ago, I had custom cloths made through Rio Grande and they turned out great, but I had to place a very large order and it was expensive. What I like about this option is that you can invest in a much smaller quantity, which makes it a lot more accessible for a small business.

With any packaging upgrade, I always think it’s smart to work that cost into your pricing when you’re figuring out the piece. But this kind of add-on really feels like a gift to your customer. It gives them a way to maintain the beauty of the piece, and it’s definitely one of those thoughtful touches people really appreciate.

2. Custom Jewelry Boxes with Microfiber Pouches

I got some beautiful custom jewelry boxes made with my logo hot foil printed on them, and they also came with microfiber pouches plus an insert that could hold necklaces and earrings. Similar to the polishing cloths, what I really loved here was being able to order a smaller amount instead of having to make a huge investment up front.

I also loved that I could choose from a range of colors, which made it possible to bring more of my fun branding to life. That kind of flexibility is such a gift when you’re a small business and want your packaging to feel special, polished, and true to your brand without going completely overboard on quantity.

If you’re looking for custom jewelry bags, whether that’s flannel, velvet, satin, linen, cotton, canvas, or microfiber, Pure Cotton Packaging has a huge variety of options. They really seem to have you covered no matter what style of packaging fits your brand best.

You can customize them with an embossed logo, printing, and they even do tags, which opens up so many possibilities if you want your packaging to feel more thoughtful and branded. Custom packaging just adds that extra little moment when someone opens their order and feels like, ooooh this is special.

They were also recommended to us by members of the Metalsmith Society community, which always means a lot to me.

4. Velvet Ring Boxes

If you make custom jewelry, especially a special bridal or engagement piece, a velvet ring box is such a beautiful finishing touch. You can find a ton of custom velvet boxes on Etsy, but the ones I’m sharing from TesoroDiVelluto are some of the nicest made I’ve come across.

They offer 63 stunning, unique velvet colors, which is kind of amazing if you want something that feels truly special and not like the same few shades everyone else is using. If you’re going for a presentation that feels extra thoughtful and memorable, this is such a gorgeous option.

And if part of you is thinking, I don’t know if I want to invest in something like this, my suggestion is simple: the next time you create a custom piece, just roll the cost of the velvet box into your pricing. It adds such a beautiful detail to the final presentation, and your client will absolutely notice. Also, there is a very real chance that pretty little box ends up in proposal or wedding photos, which means you may end up with some excellent customer content too.

5. Custom Logo Steel Stamp

This one is for anyone who has ever thought, wait... I can stamp my own tiny design into metal? Yes. Yes, you can.

This custom steel stamp from ElenaAndHerToys is such a fun find because it’s affordable, available in a bunch of sizes, and gives you the chance to add a really personal detail to your work. And it does not have to be your logo. You could do a tiny star, a symbol, a little doodle, a decorative motif, or some other custom image that becomes part of your style.

I think that’s what I love most about it. It’s branding, sure, but it can also just be this really cool little design element that makes your work feel even more like your work.

6. Custom Logo Rubber Stamp

If you like the idea of branding things yourself, a custom logo rubber stamp is such a good one to have on hand. You can use it on everything from cardboard boxes to backing cards to cotton bags, which makes it a really fun way to add your branding without having to order everything pre-printed.

I love tools like this because they give you flexibility. Maybe you want to dress up plain packaging, stamp a batch of thank you cards, or add your logo to little details here and there without committing to a giant custom packaging order. It’s a simple tool, but it can do a lot.

7. Custom Logo Banner for Craft Markets and Shows

If you do craft markets, art fairs, pop-ups, or trade shows, a custom logo table runner is such an easy way to make your setup look more polished and pulled together. It instantly helps your booth feel more branded, more professional, and way more memorable.

I like this kind of upgrade because it does a lot without requiring a huge investment. It’s actually very affordable, but it can make a big visual impact. If your table setup has ever felt a little plain or like it needs one thing to tie it all together, this is a really good option.

It’s one of those pieces that helps customers remember your brand, and anything that makes your booth look more cohesive while still being budget-friendly is a win in my book.

8. Luxury Velvet Display Pieces

If you’re looking for something truly special, these luxury velvet display pieces are stunning. They come in a wide variety of colors, which I always love because it means you can find something that actually fits your brand instead of being emotionally forced into beige.

I wanted pieces like this long before I could ever justify buying them, so I get it. They definitely fall into the category of beautiful and a little aspirational. But even if you’re not ready to go all in, just buying one really nice display tray can be such a good move. It’s perfect for showing a custom client a selection of samples, stones, or design options in a way that feels thoughtful and elevated.

These can work as photo props, earring, ring, and necklace boxes for fine jewelry, or beautiful displays for a jewelry show. They just make everything look a little fancier, a little softer, and a little more pulled together, which honestly we all deserve sometimes.

9. Custom QR Code Sign for Markets and Shows

If you do craft markets or shows, this is one of those little upgrades that can make a surprisingly big difference. A custom QR code sign lets customers instantly connect with your brand. They can scan to follow you on Instagram, visit your website, or even pay you through Venmo or another payment platform.

This particular sign is made from acrylic and includes space for your logo, a QR code, and even a little slot for business cards, so it works as both a display piece and a practical tool for sharing your info.

I love things like this for markets because people are constantly asking, “Do you have Instagram?” or “How can I find you later?” Instead of scrambling for a card while someone is juggling a tote bag and a coffee, they can just scan and follow you in two seconds. It’s also a nice way to capture those customers who are “thinking about it.” Even if they don’t buy right then, they might follow you, and suddenly your jewelry is popping up in their feed later that week.

The final shop on my list is Saddle Hill Studios. They customize everything from earring cards to necklace cards to mini cards and combo styles, all with your logo. They even have custom jewelry care cards! They have been in the game since 2013, with over 99k sales on Etsy!

This is the kind of branding detail that quietly does a lot of heavy lifting. Whether your jewelry is headed to a market, a retail shop, or out in the mail, having your display cards all look consistent makes everything feel more polished and intentional. It really helps tie the whole brand together.

Supporting Other Small Businesses While Building Your Jewelry Brand

One of the reasons I love sharing resources like this is because so many of these shops are run by small businesses that truly understand makers.

Running a jewelry business means constantly balancing creativity, tools, packaging, branding, photography, and displays. Sometimes the perfect solution is not coming from the big jewelry suppliers. Sometimes it’s coming from another maker who had the exact same problem and decided to design something better.

Etsy can be a surprisingly great place to find jewelry tools, custom packaging, display pieces, and branding materials for jewelry makers. Whether you're preparing for craft markets, building your online shop, or improving the presentation of your jewelry packaging, small upgrades can make a big difference in how your work is experienced.

If you're just starting your jewelry business, don't feel like you need everything all at once. Many of these ideas are things you can slowly add over time as your business grows. A better display tray, custom jewelry cards, branded packaging, or a market banner can gradually help your brand feel more cohesive and professional.

And the best part is that many of these items are created by other small businesses who are also out there building something from scratch.

That kind of support within the maker community is something I really believe in.

Frequently Asked Questions from Jewelry Makers

Where can jewelry makers find custom jewelry packaging in small quantities?

There are plenty of jewelry supply companies that offer custom packaging. Rio Grande and Stuller both have beautiful options for customized packaging and branded display pieces. But if you’re looking for smaller quantities, Etsy can be a really great alternative. You can find custom jewelry boxes, polishing cloths, jewelry bags, display cards, and other branded packaging details that help your business look more polished without needing to place a giant order. There are also so many afforable options and you are supporting another small business.

What packaging should jewelry makers include with their pieces?

Totally depends on your brand and vibe. At a minimum, many jewelers include a jewelry box, display card or pouch, and a branded card. Some makers also include extras like polishing cloths, care instruction cards, or custom jewelry bags. Small details like this really elevate the customer experience and make your brand feel more memorable. No matter what you decide, just know you can start small, but those details do matter when you’re building a jewelry business.

How can jewelers make their craft market booth look more professional?

Simple upgrades can make a big difference at craft shows. A custom table runner and a cohesive collection of displays that actually fit your brand can go a long way. If you make modern jewelry, it probably does not make sense to display it on Victorian antique props. Think about the full visual story you’re telling.

Remember, customers are often drawn into your booth before they ever really look at your jewelry. They notice your signage, blown-up images of your work, your brand name and logo, your displays, and of course your smiling face. Clear branding like a logo sign or QR code sign can help people instantly recognize your brand and connect with you online after the event.

Bonus tip: add a QR code so people can join your email list. If you do not have one set up yet, have a guest book out and start collecting emails. Then let that be the push you need to finally get that list going.

Is custom jewelry packaging worth it for a small jewelry business?

Yes, but it doesn’t have to happen all at once. Many jewelers gradually add branded elements like jewelry cards, packaging, polishing cloths, and display pieces as their business grows. Over time, those details help create a consistent and recognizable brand. Also, if you don't 100% love your logo (or name of your business in general) then start with small investments like custom stickers you can put on your boxes and keep it simple.
